Jean Louise “Scout” Finch and Jeremy Atticus “Jem” Finch live with their lawyer father Atticus in the fictional town of Macomb, Alabama. With their visiting friend “Dill” Harris, they spend their days playing and trying to solve the mystery of “Boo” Radley. As the Great Depression deepens, a far greater problem overwhelms this sleepy Southern town. Mr. Ewell, a poor white farmer, accuses the negro Tom Robinson of molesting his daughter, Mayella Ewell.
